My stylus has stopped working in CS6?

I've been using Photoshop for several months now within Windows 7, and it worked perfectly. I upgraded to Windows 8, and all of a sudden, the stylus to my tablet PC stopped working in Photoshop. If I go to draw a line with the brush, it affects just one pixel, then locks the cursor as the crosshairs (or whatever cursor goes with the tool I was using). When I move the mouse, a line suddenly forms from the point I clicked to the last place my stylus was, regardless if it was off the canvas or not.

I use a Lenovo ThinkPad x230 tablet. The stylus works just fine everywhere but within Photoshop. I'm assuming the issue comes from upgrading to Win 8, but I've found nothing in Microsoft or Lenovo support pertaining to this issue. I have made sure to keep the latest in all updates, from both Windows Update and Lenovo Solution Centre. If anyone else is experiencing this issue and has found a solution, I would greatly appreciate your sharing it with me.
