I have just bought a brand new Mac book pro Retina display, with 16GB memory DDR3, 2,7 Ghz Core i7, software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78).
I had my first job in Indesign, - and have worked on it about 2 hours, then came a error: with 16GB memory
Why does this happened?
ID is still a 32-bit program until the release of the new CC version in a few weeks so it can oly address a bit less than 4 gb of RAM, no matter how much is installed onthe machine. This could be caused by a corrupt image, perhaps, really complex vectors pasted from Illustrator, or maybe even just a lot changes without a Save As to clear the change info (though I'm less confident about that one, a periodic Save as to a new name at each major change point in the design is good practice to keep a backup chain in case of problems).
Thank you SOOO much Peter!!!
I look forward to CC version!!
