station_two May 30, 2013 5:23 PM (in response to danno42)CS3 runs fine on Leopard on my G5 Quad PPC, as does CS4. Both, as well as any other software on that computer, run snappier and more stable on Tiger 10.4.11.
No PPC ever shipped with Leopard installed. Tiger is the optimal, rock solid OS for a G5.
My G5 Quad has separate, bootable internal drives for 10.4.11 and 10.5.8. I can categorically represent to you that Photoshop CS4 (Ps 11.0.2) absolutely runs faster and more efficiently in Tiger 10.4.11.
CS5 and CS6 will absolutely not run on a G5 or any other non-Intel Mac.

station_two May 30, 2013 5:34 PM (in response to danno42)These are the specs of that machine:
2.5 GHz Power Mac (PPC) G5-Quad; 16GB RAM; mutant, flashed 550MHz nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 1,700MHz 512MB VRAM; ATTO ExpressPCI UL5D LP SCSI card; Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and Leopard 10.5.8 boot drives; intrusive Spotblight, Dashboard and Time Machine permanently disabled; dual 22" CRT monitors; USB wireless 'n' available but connected to the Internet via wired Ethernet; FW flatbed scanner; 2 SCSI scanners (one tabloid-size transparency scanner and a film scanner); various internal & external HDs; FW Epson 2200 and Ethernet Samsung ML-2850ND printers; 2 X Back-UPS RS 1500 XS units.
I have not booted into Leopard 10.5.x for a very, very long time.
I run CS5 and CS6 (Ps 11.0.4) on a different, networked Snow Leopard 10.6.8 MacIntel system that shares my dual monitors, keyboard, mouse and tablet with the G5 Quad PPC described in the previous paragraph.
