      Hi

      I've linked my paypal account

      I've created the forms

      I've linked the fields

I go to do a test form and fill in the fields

      I checkout

This takes me to the Paypal page

On the left hand side I can see the items I have bought.

      My problem is

There are only ever  3 or 4 items on that bit - not the whole shopping list - DESPITE the grand total showing for all the items

(so if I 'buy' 6 items (for instance) the Paypal checkout page only shows 3 or 4 and the correct grand total.

How can I make the checkout page show all the items??

          Hi,

Could you share your form with meemanfu@adobe.com using instruction http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462, so that I can take a look to see what the problem could be?

Also, please tell me what 6 items you chose but only 3 or 4 items were shown in PayPal. I'll try to reproduce the case and see what the problem could be.

          Thanks,

            Hi,

I saw your form and test it on Safari as well as Chrome on Windows. I chose 6 items in the form, and all of them were displayed in the PayPal checkout page in my both tests. I noticed that you can only 4 items at a time, but there is a scrollbar at the right side of the item list that you can scroll to see other items. You probably didn't notice that.

            pay2.PNG

Please try again to see if you can see the scrollbar. If you cannot, please let me know and take a screenshot of what you see, so that I can contact PayPal to fix the problem.

            Thanks,

              Hi Eman

              Thanks for the note

Yes, I did notice the scroll bar in Chrome and in Firefox.

BUT, when I try to do it in Safari there is no scroll barbsr.jpg

It looks like a Safari-specific bug. My screenshots were taken on Safari as well, but I did see the scrollbar. My Safari version is "5.1.9 (6534.59.8)", could you let me know your version? The page is displayed by PayPal. I will need your Safari version to log a bug to PayPal so that they can take a look.

If your version is lower than mine, could you update it or ask your friends or colleagues to try their Safari and see if the scrollbar can be seen? But please do get the version of the Safari on which you are seeing the problem before you upgrade, so that we have the right information for PayPal to reproduce the problem.

Since the bug fix in PayPal is out of our control, please understand it'll take a while until the problem is fixed. Meanwhile, please ask your customer to use browsers other than Safari (or the right version of Safari), so that they are not confused. I am sorry for all the inconvenience this has caused.

                Thanks,

                    Hi,

Thanks for the information. Looks like your Safari is even newer than mine. :-)

I'll try to reproduce the bug and ask PayPal to fix it.

                    Thanks,

                      Hi Eman

Just to let you know mine is on a mac - may be different on a PC??

I actually tested on the Safari on my Mac as well. So it looks like a behavior difference between different versions of Safari on Mac.

Could you let me know your Mac OS version? I managed to find some Mac machines with the Safari version number closest to you. One is OS X 10.7.5 with Safari 6.0.4 (7536.30.1), and another one is OS X 10.8.4 with Safari 6.0.5 (8536.30.1). On both Safari, I can see the scrollbar. Please see the screenshot I took for Safari 6.0.5 (8536.30.1):

Could you try to move your mouse pointer into the item list, click on it and try to scroll to see if you see scrollbar or see the items scroll?

                            Hi Eman

                            My OS was 10.8.3

I'm just downloading 10.8.4 and Safari 6.0.5 which comes with it..

My current Safari is Version 6.0.4 (8536.29.13)

I'll install both and let you know

                              Hi Eman

Right.  Just tried it on an Imac (same machine as before) running 10.8.4 (build 12E55) and Safari Version 6.0.5 (8536.30.1)

and I still don't get the scrollbar

                              weird???

Since we are using the same version of Safari now but still seeing different things, I suspect it might be due to different configurations. I searched the web about missing scrollbar issue on Mac, and found that new version of OS X might not show scrollbars at all. You can configure it to show only when you are scrolling the content. That's what I thought at the beginning.

Please take a look at this article: http://heresthethingblog.com/2013/02/25/mac-tip-missing-scroll-bars/

and change your "Show scroll bars" option to Always. After that, completely close Safari and relaunch it again, then try to check out the form again to see if you see the scrollbars. Please let me know if that works for you.

                                  Hi Eman

That's sorted it... well done and thank you very much.  It's weird itsn't it - some of the things Apple do are great - some more questionable!

                                  Thank you

                                  Kind regards

I am glad the issue is solved! :-)

Really the scrollbar change made by Apple sometimes is indeed confusing.

Thank you so much for your patience with me when I tried to figure out what went wrong.

                                    Best regards,
