    Using the jquery from Edge Animate in regular html page

      I have an html page with an edge animation so the code at the top of the page

      <!--Adobe Edge Runtime-->

          <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="test_edgePreload.js"></script>

          <style>

              .edgeLoad-EDGE-1311516560 { visibility:hidden; }

          </style>

      <!--Adobe Edge Runtime End-->

                <script>

      then in the body I have

      <div id="Stage" class="EDGE-1311516560"></div>

      I want to do other jquery stuff independent of the edge composition. Is jquery available to me or do I need to load the regular jquery library? If jquery is available to me how do I access it. I tried creating a div with an id of newSquare and writing

      $("#newSquare").fadeOut();

      but it does not work? So I guess my question boils down to if the edge animation code loads the regular jquery library?
