I was doing some research to see if how Deskpack compared to Trueflow in terms of trapping. In doing so I stumbled upon the fact that we can set Trap Presets in not only Indesign but the other Adobe products too. This also seems to go as far back as at least CS2. I find it odd that I've never heard or even stumbled upon this previously.
Does anyone use this feature and how do you think it performs. Have any of you used both this feature and Trueflow for trapping and can offer a comparison?
Thank you in advance!

The document's trap preset only works when you print separations and you have trapping turned on in the Print>Output dialog. It is possible to include traps in a composite CMYK PDF when you print postscript and distill by choosing In-RIP Separations from the Output Color popup.
