Scout gives us a FPS budget but it would be great to see a RAM Budget for the device being profiled. For instance, if I'm profiling an iPad1, I want to see some sort of inidicator to let me know if I'm getting close to maxing out the 128MB of RAM on the device.
I know this is tricky, because the amount of available RAM is dependent on the amount of apps the user is running, but as a developer, it's really important to know how close we are to getting Out of Memory errors.
Would this be a feasilble feature in Scout? If so, I'd be happy to create a feature request ticket in Jira.
That's a nice idea - definitely something we can consider adding at some point.
This utility can be used to detect when Out of Memory warnings/crashes will occur on a device. The Adobe Scout companion app could use this utility to detect the memory limits of the device, and pass that value back to the Desktop Scout app to be used to determine the memory budget
