I would like to know what my options are for logging acroforms to a database (MySQL in my case)?
Say a user fills in a form and signs it, is there a way to send that data directly to a database so it can be analyzed?
I could send the data to a hotfolder to be picked by another program but I wondered if this was necessary?
We use Acrobat pro X, 9, and 8.
AcroForms used to have ODBC support that allowed that, but it was
discontinued with version X and in version 9 you need to do a registry edit
to enable it... LiveCycle forms still have that feature but since they are
very different from AcroForms you'll need to totally re-create your form to
The normal thing is to submit the file to a server. It's complicated when there is a digital signature though, since you have to store the whole form, not the form data, and that's harder to analyse by a long way.
