Flash Player 11 not recognized

Windows 7, 3.19 ghz processor, 2 gb ram.  When running google satellite program and some photo viewing, adobe does not recognize that flash player 11 is installed on my machine.  Control panel shows it is installed.  Uninstalled & reinstalled.  adobe verifies installation is successful.  Have looked for solutions on-line but not able to fix problem.  Please help.
