I'm exporting an AE composition to a swf file format. I've exported to every other format, which looks great quality wise, including flv. As soon as I export to swf, the quality goes way down and is very grainy. Any ideas on how to overcome this?
The compostion is motion graphics, with animated screen capture, where we're using photoshop stills of user interface (layers) and animating from them. The file is 704x396 @29.97fps. I would love to hear some suggestions. Thanks!
SWF is completely the wrong format for animated stills. You're barking up the wrong tree.
What Rick said. Using bitmaps in an SWF will produce an embedded JPEG sequence inside the SWF, which naturally will show compression artifacts.
