Hello, Do you have Compressor installed? it should install the Apple-provided presets, if I'm not mistaken...
I do have Compressor installed, and it has installed prores HQ for FCPX, that's the preset I'm using to export out of FCPX, but the ProRes HQ preset cannot be accessed by Photoshop.
Have you found any solution to this, I am having the same issue.
no solutions to be found, so far. I am just using Prores 422, instead of Prores 422 (HQ) when I export from FCPX, and crossing my fingers that I'm not missing something in the round trip to Photoshop.
Sorry if I sound dumb, I am fairly new to this software. This is posted in a Photoshop discussion board and you talk about Photoshop but it sounds like Premiere Pro stuff to me. Am i wrong?
I am processing a video with photoshop, because Premiere and After Effects cannot access the plugin I want to use (Exposure 4), only photoshop can.
i have a solution for you.
1. import the footage into PS 2014
2. add your layer and apply your exposure 4 plugin
3. go to file>export to lut
4. go back to premiere or davinci resolve and apply the LUT you create in PS to your new footage!
boom you basically have the same look.
5. now you can apply the LUT and then export to Prores
