I need to somehow use the techsmith 1 codec when creating movies in Premiere because I will be playing them with TObii Studio, an eyetracking software that unfortunately does not support any other codecs and only supports AVI movies. How do I do this? do I install in onto Premiere, or Media Encoder? ANd how?
First you have to obtain the codec, then you install the codec into the Operating System (e.g. windows)
Not sure if Premiere will see the Techsmith codec though.
If Premiere doesn't see it, I'm pretty sure QuickTime for Windows will. I used to have to transcode Techsmith files to mpeg and the only thing I could get to do it was QuickTime Pro on Windows. This was years ago so it might no longer be the case but I *know* that QTPro 7 will work.
