Not possible and probably never will be. Creating a 3D view reference involves setting a number of parameters for both the scene and the camera which aren't accessible to the JS API, so there's no way to implement a 'newView()' method yourself.
If you can, please have a look at this other one http://forums.adobe.com/message/5389804#5389804 which spurs from the same source and need i.e. to grab a picture of the scene I am currently watching after running the animation and rotating the context.
If also .transform.set is unfeasible, is it possible to take a snapshot (image) of view?
