Do you mean Adobe DRM documents from Adobe Digital Editions?

If so, are you sure the difference is the PC, and not whether the document has printing rights, maybe preventing printing or limiting it to a few pages?

You can check rights in ADE with ctrl-I for information on a book.  (probably cmd-I on Mac)

If not, you have posted on the wrong forum.

Hi sjpt,

I downloaded a free book from the adobe site to test the printing.

The item information says printing is allowed on any device.

I tested by trying to print the first page only.

This works fine on my own laptop (Windows 7) but a colleague in a different office on a Windows XP PC using the same ebook cannot print and no error message shows up. The printer that PC is printing to  has been tested and produces a windows test page.

It could be an ADE2.0 bug: it has some issues with XP (as well as lots of other issues) though I hadn't heard of this one.

If it's important to you rather than just a curiosity, you could try the older but more reliable v1.7.2.

You can have 2.0 and 1.7.2 installed at the same time.

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

The forum software is sometimes corrupting the link above.  There shouldn't be a blank in 'editio ns.html'.  The following redirects to the same page: http://tinyurl.com/diged172

Thanks very much for the link.

I will try the older version and let you know how I get on.
