    Story Reformatted the Script (?)

    EckleySP Community Member

I understand Story reformats the script for the Camera shots, but after "locking" the script, I have gone back to change the script (with revisions on) made them and thankfully could print only the pages that changed.  Today, I open the script and it has the same formatting as the script with shots, but no shot information.  The 25 pages have become 44 and Story still thinks the script is locked by creating two pages for each one.  For example, the text that was on Page 1 is on two pages, 1 and 1A.

I would the document to revert back to the "script" format. . .   Can I do that?

          Hi,

If you want to switch back to the previous version of the document:

Go to View->History option. History panel would appear and you can open an older version which will also provide you an option to 'make latest' version.

To switch back to 'script' format:

Open the script, go to Edit->Template option. There's a 'Select Template' dropdown at the top-right of the template dialog. Select 'Film Template' and it should take you back to the script format.

          Hope this helps.

          Regards,

          Sunny

With the current script open, the Template option in the Edit drop down menu is grayed out.  So, that's not an option.

When viewing a previous version, no options are available under Production or Review and I do not see how I can make that version "current". . .

I'll need specific instructions, I guess.

Note, I am working online with the Story desktop installed.

Found the Make Current button -   upper right hand portion of the document.

Thanks for this.   It's a "good to know."

I still would like to know how to change the format of a document. . . that would be too.

Great that you figured out the 'make current' option.

Also the 'Template' option is appearing greyed out because pages in your script must be locked. In case you need to use it you will have to go to 'Production' menu-> 'Unlock pages'. This would unlock pages in your script and also enable the 'Template' option. Then you may go ahead and change the format of your script as mentioned above.

                Regards
