Photoshop CS6 loads but then when it finally fully opens I am met with two windows, Help Improve Adobe's Products and Initializing Type Tool. I can close out the Improve Adobe's Products but Initializing Type Tool never takes place (I let it sit for an hour with no progress) and it won't let me cancel it. It was working fine a few days ago and since then I have not installed any new fonts.
I am running OSX 10.8.4 and Photoshop 13.0.5.
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by pressing command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift while starting Photoshop until the appropriate dialog appears after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)
Thanks! Clearing out the preferences (cmd+alt+shift) and resolving duplicated fonts using Font Book seems to have fixed the issue.
