creative cloud Ideas not syncing

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a sync problem but appreciate you letting us know that you have faced an issue with sync to Creative Cloud,

Can you provide some additional information so that I can investigate further: 

Which version of Ideas do you have installed?  What iPad/iOS have you created the Ideas drawing on?  Do you receive an error message related to the inability to sync?

Hi Bezoetdebie,

I just tested the sync functionality myself and was able to sync successfully.

A couple things you might test

- Confirm you have internet connectivity

- Try turning sync off and then back on again

- Try completely powering off and back on the tablet

- Try syncing a newly created file or altered project

Same problem here on an iPad3 iOS 6.1.3 -

instead of restarting the iPad I found that simply turning the app off and launching it again did the trick and forced the app to load the files to adobe cloud.

Though not ideal it is better than restarting your iPad.

Dear Adobe : It might be better if there was a 'Sync files now" button option that would force the connection manually instead of hoping that it works automatically as it is obviously not always doing.

This is how to re-start the app and force it to sync/upload the files to Creative Cloud.

Note : first make sure that your iPad has it's wifi connection enabled and that the Adobe Ideas app has the 'sync files' option selected (this is located under the creative cloud icon within the app).

then ...

1 - double click the home button on your iPad and all the open apps will appear along the bottom of your screen.

2 - locate the Adobe Ideas icon and hold it until the icon starts to jiggle and a red circle with a minus sign appears on the top left corner of the icon.

     (if you dont see the app straight away you can scroll through the open apps by swiping from right to left)

3 - press the '-' sign and this will turn off the app.

4 - now press the home button again and restart the adobe ideas app by selecting it on your ipad screen, this should prompt the app to sync your existing artwork.

So no need to restart the ipad. hope it helps : )

Same issue, have tried all the suggested remedies in the forums here but still can't get an Ideas drawing to sync with my creative cloud files on my laptop. (OSX 10.8.5)  iOS 7, downloaded Ideas today...

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with sync. 

Can you provide any additional information as to what is occurring in the Adobe Ideas UI when the sync is going on?  Is the percentage of files synced increasing or stalled at a certain percentage?  Are any of the files syncing to the cloud?

Hi Kim,

I just tried again at my office this morning and it succeeded first try, the way I had anticipated it should work. Nice!

Last night, it appeared that the files had synced on iPad, the bar on the Ideas file disappeared, and said 'Complete' in the Sync process CC drop down in Ideas. But still nothing was showing up in my CC browser 'Files'. The sample file was only 358k. I did do all the wifi confirmations last night, restarting iPad, app shutdown, relaunch, etc. but still didn't work.

Not sure how to narrow down my issues at home, I know I have suspect dsl at home, but I had been streaming lots of video with no problem before and after my attempts, so it's hard to blame that. Maybe my laptop hardware at work is different?, but I'm using OS X 10.8.5 here at work still though.

Got the same problem over and over again. Is this some kind of bug?

We appreciate you reporting the sync issues - we are working directly with the Creative Cloud team to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Do not uninstall the Ideas application, as long as your files are on your device - once we resolve the sync issue with Creative Cloud - you will be able to get your files to the cloud in the native Ideas format.

Me too my problems are that I am:

Unable to UPLOAD files to the Creative Cloud

&

Unable to DOWNLOAD files from the Creative Cloud

I'm operating on a 3rd generation iPad using the latest iOS (7.1.1) which updated recently (few days ago) I wonder if this has effected the Adobe Ideas Sync function in either direction? I thought it was also worth mentioning that the sync function is messed up in both directions not just with uploading to the CC but also downloading projects OFF of it. This has happened before, but I fixed it once by uninstalling the app and ininstaling it, but that made me loose my data which really ticked me off.

Sometimes it appears as having been synced on the iPad, but the files don´t appear on the CC folder in the iMac. Then the sync function restarts on the iPad, and the files appear as not having been synced.

Three files out of four synced perfectly, but the last one didn't. When it got to 100% the program closed. Although I restarted it several times, it kept shutting down.

I have always and still do have problems syncing Adobe Ideas to Adobe Cloud. If I open an idea and make changes then go back to the main screen the Syncing Process goes from 0 to 100 percent over and over again. It never completes. However if I duplicate the file and delete the original the new file uploads fine.

Please advise how this issue can be fixed.

Oh yeah and I am running Adobe Ideas 2.7.2 on iOS 7.1.1

I am also having issues syncing Ideas with CC. I've already tried all the solutions in this forum, and it's still a no go. My problem is that Ideas 2.8 (iPad 3, iOS 7.1.1),  ALWAYS says that syncing is COMPLETE, no matter if I'm creating a new Idea or modifying an existing one. I never even get the sync progress bar some people seem to get. Obviously, my CC account says that there are no files (coming from my iPad). However, if I upload a file directly to CC, and then open it in Ideas, it works flawlessly, but never from iPad to CC.

I've already turned the sync option on and off several times, killed the app, restarted the iPad, and my problem remains the same.

  I am also having issues syncing.  It started yesterday when I updated to the latest version.  When attempting to sync it just says "Awaiting connection" and will eventually time and and say complete even though no files were synced.  I can still import from the Creative Cloud just not sync.  I have turned off sync, logged out, rebooted and reinstalled the app.  None of which has helped.

This is also affecting Adobe Ideas on my iPhone 5. This is a similar issue that affected Photoshop touch a while ago.  This issue is also once again preventing Photoshop touch from syncing with Creative Cloud as well which also started yesterday.

Hi:

I don't know if there's really something to do with my syncing issues, or if Adobe made any a change this weekend that has finally resolved the problems, but I suddenly got the syncing to work between Ideas and my Creative Cloud account!!!!

I was having some minor printing issues with my MacBook Pro (Mavericks 10.9), so I decided to remove all my printers and reinstall them with updated drivers. At this time, I opened my CC account in my MBP, and there was still a no go for the syncing. I rebooted my MBP, removed all my printers, rebooted again and reconfigured my printers, and VOILA!!!!!! Suddenly in my CC account I could see the files I had previously created in Ideas V2.8 (iPad 3, iOS 7.1.1). So I opened Ideas in my iPad, created a new file and BIG SURPRISE, suddenly the sync progress bar started to work in my Ipad and my files were synced perfectly to my CC account.

I'm aware that this does not look like a solution, but as for now I'm syncing with absolutely no problems between my iPad Ideas and CC.

SAme problem.

A Solution: rename the drawing  and you will be able to upload to creative cloud.

Same problem here. Says, Sync Process: "Analyzing" or "Awaiting Connection"

I am also unable to send to Illustrator. And can only share or email a JPEG and not a editable PDF.

I've tried restarting the program, the iPad, turning syncing on and off., renaming the files, but nothing is working.

I'm on an iPad Air, iOS 7.1.2, Ideas 2.8, connected to wifi

Adobe likes to break the sync with the mobile apps. They broke the sync when the released the creative cloud 2014 then fixed it and now it is broken again. It has been broken a few times in the last year. It affects both ideas and ps touch.  Eve. When it works, ideas is slow to sync.

Update:

I tried again to sync this morning, some of the the unsynced files synced on their own. Others seem to be stuck.

But a bigger concern - the last file I was working on was re-titled to include "-conflict" after the title. It appeared to be syncing by the blue progress bar on the bottom on the thumb in Ideas. When the blue progress bar was complete, the thumb disappeared all together. The file is no longer in Ideas nor in Creative Cloud.

Anyone have thoughts on what happened to this file and can it be restored?? Thanks!!

The disappearing file has just reappeared on both Cloud and Ideas. All files are now syncing.

USing adobe ideas on iPad one, the sync shows that I has worked and sync'd all myis ketches on the iPad to the CC. But when I log into CC and check my files, it says that I have not uploaded anything from my mobile devices. Have tried everyone's suggestions, for a few days now. Even opened one of my sketches, added a dot and it sync'd perfectly. But where did it sync to? Because when I log in to CC it still shows no files. Weird.

I have the same problem as Fendavo.

1. Sync process: Awaiting connection or Analyzing (it toggles between these two states)
2. Though all files are synced (I know this because the storage level moved up to 20MB), I cannot see them on https://assets.adobe.com/assets/mobile or anywhere else on https://assets.adobe.com/

Am I looking at the wrong place?

Ideas does not sync to assets.adobe.com/assets/mobile, but it should sync to assets.adobe.com/files. Are you seeing your .idea files there?

Thanks Frank, if I could send a screenshot, it would show, for me, that assets.adobe.com/files shows, 'this folder is empty'. So I still don't know where my files have gone. Any more ideas (no pun intended)?

Additionally, I just loaded 'ideas' and checked the sync icon and it showed 8MB of 20MB, but showed 0% used. How weird is that?

I may have figured it out. I don't think there is any free storage and because I haven't upgraded, then none of my files are showing in creative cloud, even though they sync'd to somewhere in the cloud (and won't appear until I pay the fee for 20MB).

If that's true,then how do I get my drawings out of my iPad? Is there another way, instead of sync'ing to the cloud storage at Creative?

No files are appearing at either of those two addresses. Any help would be appreciated please. Is my theory about paying for Creatove Cloud, correct and is that the reason that they sync from my iPad to CC, but remain hidden from me?

Sorry Frank, I still see nothing on Creative Cloud when I sync from my iPad1. Any other solutions? My files have definitely sync'd to somewhere because the Adobe Ideas app says they are all synchronized.

I'm having the same issue and can't get Ideas to sync. It simply says "awaiting connection" and shows the files as sync'd but they are not.  I'm actually just trying to move them over to Draw.

Thanks for the response.  I have tested today with iPad1/5.1, iPad 3/6.1 and iPad Air/7.1.2 as well as iPhone 5S/7.1.2 and not yet been able to reproduce a syncing issue.  Can you provide any additional detail as to your actions prior to the sync issue?  Have you tried to toggle the sync off and on to see if that affects the sync state?

Any additional insight is appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of the issues with file sync and visibility.   In regards to your prior statement:

8MB of 20MB, but showed 0% used

that is obviously an odd state/display.  You also made reference to not being a Creative Cloud member but based on your 20MB of storage it would appear that you already are a member.  Can you provide any further insight or confirm that you are still seeing the same storage information displayed?  If you take a screenshot you should be able to attach it in response to the private forum message I sent to you directly.

Any further information or details as to your current state is appreciated.

HI Kim,

I have the Ipad mini w/ retina. I have 6-7 files on Ideas and was not syncing with CC. After, I downloaded Draw and CC, and tried to sync the files from Ideas to CC and Ideas to Draw - no go. I can upload photos to CC and they show up, but nothing from your actual programs Draw or Ideas sync. It shows that it is snyc'd (bar fills, etc),  but says "awaiting connection", and nothing shows up in CC or transfer from Ideas to Draw. I've tried all the little restarts,etc that are mentioned above. Nothing. I updated the operating system, still no go. This is getting frustrating. Please help.

Now none of my files show up on CC.  Can someone from Adobe please help And get this resolved? I'd like to use this...
