Brushes activate with Iris settings every single time regardless of how many times I set all brushes

Every single time I activate the Adjustment Brush, Mask, and Filter tools, they activate with the "Iris Enhance" preset active. So when I start editing the first thing I have to do is reset the tools to zero every. single. time. Yes a double-click isn't that big a deal, but LR4 did not do this. I have not changed any settings since going to LR5 and I can't stand this issue anymore.   When I use these tools, the adjustments I'm making are highlights, shadows, noise, clarity, etc. Individual sliders. So why does "Iris Enhance" keep turning on when never even touch the effects?   In LR4, after finishing an edit with a brush, mask, etc., I would press the Enter key and it would switch to a "new" brush/mask. At that point, the Effect would automatically switch back to Default. How can I make LR5 do this?  I want it to jump back to default slider settings after every time I press Enter.
