1. Re: how do I reduce a 300 dpi
maeric Jun 18, 2013 10:32 AM (in response to sambjamn)Because the FH8 file is vector (resolution independent) it wouldn't be affected by scaling the dimensions. 300 dpi is more relevent to its raster output.

dolive Jun 24, 2013 1:15 AM (in response to sambjamn)Assuming your map is vector and not raster, try the "Simplify" xtra at the smallest amount of simplification (0.1).
- go to "Xtras" - "Cleanup" - "Simplify" (the smallest amount of simplification 0.1 usually has little affect on the appearance but reduces file sizes considerably.)
- duplicate the layer to be simplified and move the original layer to Background so you can compare simplified linework with the original to see if accuracy has been affected. Then delete the unnecessary layer. Don't forget to keep a backup copy of your original drawing.- if "Simplify" command fails, select and simplify smaller areas.
Also, get rid of any unused junk around the drawing like unnecessary embedded images etc.
