    Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 won't connect with PC Windows 7




      I just installed on PC Windows 7 Home Premium - Adobe Edge Inspect and Chrome extension.

      On Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 I installed Adobe Edge Inspect CC.


      PC shows "Waiting for connection".

      Samsung show continous spin of gif.


      No connection takes place.


      I tried manual connect but got message "unsuccessful" but no error code.


      Unable to use this software.


      (I read where Mac  had problems but answer not appropriate for PC)

          Here's a few things to check on:

          1. Make sure your computer and your Samsung tablet are on the same network. If you're on a work network make sure you're on the same subnet or that communication across port 7682 is allowed across the different subnets.
          2. Make sure your computer isn't on VPN
          3. Turn off any software firewalls on your computer. Do this temporarily for the initial connection... you can re-enable the firewall later and add an exception for Edge Inspect
          4. Make that port 7682 is open and unblocked by the router or other network settings.


          Once you've checked all those things, click the manual connection button on your device and type in the IP address of the computer running Edge Inspect. You can find that IP address at the top of the Edge Inspect Chrome Extension dialog.
