anyone experiencing this issue or know how to resolve this issue shown on the video link above?
Updated to Premiere 7.0.1 today. Still have this problem. Hopefully someone can help me resolve this. Anyone w/ an i/o from aja. matrox or blackmagic having this issue of video going out of sync when taking a clip from the project window directly to the source monitor? Even when I create a new bars and tone and drag it from the project to the source, video goes out of sync. when i take the bars and tone from the project window directly to the timeline and then drag it to the source window, i am able to view bars and tone. Anyone know why this is happening? quite an annoyance. thanks!
Have you updated to the latest BlackMagic drivers for the Intensity card? That is what has solved most problems users have had with this card and monitoring playback.
How do you have your audio setup? Try the following.
- Set your OS system sound to Built-in or Line out audio
- Select Blackmagic for both Video and Audio in Preferences> Playback
- Select System Default Input/Output from Preferences> Audio Hardware
Hope this helps,
I tried all drivers for the intensity but no luck. this was happening w/ CS6 as well.
Peter, tried your setup but video output still goes out of sync as described from project window directly to source monitor.
It seems it maybe an isolated incident since no one else has reported this. I hope it's somewhere in my settings or setup. This has been bugging me for months.
Any other suggestions? Thanks again.

I hoping to resolve this soon. still no luck.
I have my Sony MDR-7506 headphones plugged into a Behringer 1002B Mixer which is plugged into the Headphone port of my Macbook Pro. From Thunderbolt out into the Intensity shuttle Thunderbolt, I am component out to one monitor and hdmi out to another monitor. both which lose video sync(audio is fine) if i drag(or double click) a clip from a bin in the project window to view directly in the source monitor window. no problem if any clip is in the timeline and viewed in the source monitor. just project to source monitor.
NOTE: When I just dragged an 1855x422 png still from the project window to the source, my video out is in sync and I'm able to view it on both monitors....but when doing the above, it loses sync. Hope this helps in resolving this problem. Please view the instagram video above to see exactly what I'm experiencing. Thanks...
Since color mattes were part of this issue(project window to source monitor), I focused on these. I created a 1920x1080 and 1280x720 color matte but no video output. However, I create a 1280x719 color matte, then voila! I get video sync...though monitors switch to 480.
My conclusion: any clip, whether it be a still or video that is at least 720 height(ie 1280x720, 1920x1080, 3333x720, etc) will not sync video output from the project window to the source monitor.
any clip lower than 720 height(ie 1280x719, 720x480, etc) will give me video output from the project window to the source monitor(monitors switch to 480).
Hope this is starting to make sense to the point someone can help me figure out what's going on.
