Hope someone can enlighten me ~
This is more a Photoshop question but you must have selected the option to show new items/options in Photoshop.
A useful option for a quick check on new features.
In PS go to menu Window / workspace and uncheck 'What's new' by clicking on it to remove the checkmark in front.
Yes, you are right. This is more of a Photoshop question, and I appreciate your calling it to my attention. I did do as you suggested, but was unable to uncheck "What's New" in PS6. I tried a dozen times, and no matter what I do, it just won't uncheck.
I have actually posted this qustion on the dpreview.com Retouching Forum and Mac Forum, but yours is the first answe I've received in several days. So I appreciate your trying to help, and give you a "yes" for alerting me to my error in thinking it was a Bridge question.
Like I mentinoed, this is not a critical problem, just an annoying one. There are a LOT of options that are highlighted, but the one on "Mini Bridge' just hits me in the face everytime I get on PS and want to just "Browse in Bridge". It's like someone trying to make you buy something you don't want ! :-) I guess I'll just have to get used to it !
Thanks again for trying to help

Problem is you've already bought it and they want to highlight a bit more to show you've made a good choice...
But seriously, I see it is not easy to uncheck. You have an other option, top right of the option bar (top of the window - otherwise Windows / Options) there is also a menu to choose or reset the workspace. If you choose another workspace it should also deselect itself, at least it does on my system (Mac)
Thanks... At this point, I'll just work on trying to ignore it. In the perspective of what's going in the world, this is a BIG nothing !
After I installe MLion on my Mac,nothiing is easy ! :-( "Pages"" won't read my older docs, and I have to do a "double conversion" to get past that, and Apple wants to hold me (and a lot of others too I imagine) hostage to saving everything in iCloud. PSCS6 has made a few things I use harder, but also kept some favorite options holding steady ! TG for small favors ! :-)
And thanks for your suggestions. I'm not going to try resetting my workspace now, as it's working fine !
Thanks again... Carolyn
