Hi - thanks Steve Werner -- but that link is broken -- could you tell us what that post said?
I have a Word doc with an index, and I'd like to keep it when importing into InDesign, and be able to regenerate the index in InDesign with the correct page numbers -- is this possible?
Is there maybe a handy script that can be used?
Does it not work for you when you place the file to show import options and include index entries?
Hi Peter - I checkmarked include index entries in the show import options. No index appears. Do I need to regenerate it?
Ugh. I just double-checked the Word document, and the index they included is manually typed, it isn't created properly in Word.
You'd need to regenerate in in ID, too if the words were properly marked.
For the situation you're in now, youmight wan to check out http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=2610522
