Just a follow-up comment from my partner:
"we are password protecting and the calculated value becomes static when removing password"
- and here is a copy of our formula too if it helps:
ROR_difference.rawValue = ((ROR_Proposed.rawValue - ROR_Current.rawValue) / ROR_Current.rawValue)

Are you getting any error messages, pop-ups, etc?
Does ROR_Current.rawValue ever equal to zero or a null string?
When you password protect the PDF you have to allow editing of form fields.
Thanks G! So yes, forgive me, it is FormCalc language. I don't see an error message. The RoR will not be equal to zero or null.
Maybe "When you password protect the PDF you have to allow editing of form fields." this is the issue - i just check use permissions and then "Changes Allowed: Filling in forms, etc.?" is this correct?
G - does that stand for "Genius???"
Changing the setting to allow editing of form fields fixed the issue, which has consumed us for the past three days, thank you so much.
We appreciate it really.

Unfortunately, I was mistaken, when I change the setting to allow the editing of form fields we lose the protection we are looking for; eg. we want to mail the document to a large audience of people in a read only mode. Later, our small team of individuals wants to be able to update the fields in the specific document as necessary, using a password.
It now works properly even after we save the document securely without editing permissions and then re-open it with the password to update the information.
