This doesn't sound like a known issue with InDesign and I cannot produce the issue on my end.
Have you tried resetting your InDesign preferences? If this doesn't work, how about launching the software under a new administrative user account?
As the issue persists cross products, something might've gone wrong during installation.
Please try the suggested steps first and see if they help. Thanks!
yea ive tried to repair all permissions and have tried to under a new account user. its only the Adobie CC applications that are doing it. acrobat pro works fine its InDesign (Crashes when trying to open or save from a folder), Illustrator (Just doesnt do anything when trying to open or Save to a folder, it just doesnt save or open), PhotoShop (I Get a program error message when trying to open from a folder and it sut doesnt save to one).
The PhotoShop error message says "Could not complete your request because of a program error" and no im saving to a sever.
yes i will send that crash log to where u asked me to.
I have a similar issue with Indesign. The save option is just graded out, so I cannot save at all. Resetting as you suggested doens not seem to work. Hope if I let it crash that my file will restore next time I start the program.
Count me in on the same issue. Thanks Adobe for yet another failure of the CC "service".
and i have been told by Adobie its a computer error and not an adobie softwear error. And Apple says its a Softwear error. Im getting the push back n forth from both.
I have the same problem running inDesign CC on my macbook pro osx 10.9.1
Can't save. Option greyed out. I have reset the prefernces to no effect.
Where can I get some help to resolve this? Not being able to save work isn't great for productivety.
The issue wherein the save options are greyed out is a known issue and we have fixed this problem. You would get this issue fixed in the next InDesign update soon.
Right now, whenever you encounter this issue, you can export the file to .idml and then open the .idml.
seems permissions issue , try giving full permissions on the folder and than try to save file in it.
Same issue here using Adobe Indesign CC 2014, file will not save. I have attempted all the afore mentioned options, still will not save the file!! I have tried using Indesign CC and CC 2014, same issue, will not save. Copied file to my desktop and attempted to save as idml, no changes are saved. What is the deal, brand new computer as of yesterday, Mac Pro with lots of ram and completely new install of all Adobe products. How much cleaner a system can I get and not experience this type of issue??
