1. Re: New notebook - I want to load PSE8
99jon Jun 20, 2013 2:49 AM (in response to namajeem)Hi Pat
You may be able to copy the installation disk to the desktop on the main machine and then network the notebook with the desktop to run the setup.
The only other suggestion is to take your disk and Macbook Air to your local apple store and ask them to assist you with installation.

namajeem Jun 20, 2013 2:58 AM (in response to 99jon)Thanks. I thought I might be able to download the programme and install using my existing product key.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Pat

99jon Jun 20, 2013 3:19 AM (in response to namajeem)You may be able to download the PSE8 trial and then validate it with your serial number, but you will need patience as the servers are quite slow. You must first click on the link at the bottom for the current PSE11 trial page, then sign in (top right with your Adobe ID and password)
Then copy this PSE8 link into the same browser window and save the DMG file. Good luck.

4. Re: New notebook - I want to load PSE8
Barbara B. Jun 20, 2013 7:38 AM (in response to 99jon)The thing is that for PSE 8 downloads and boxed versions have incompatible serial numbers, so the trial won't help you any. In those days when you bought PSE in a box, you had to uninstall the trial and reinstall it from disc.

fionakaycameron Jun 20, 2013 9:13 AM (in response to namajeem)If nothing else helps, you could use an external CD drive
