In Photoshop Spot Colors have no transparency as they exist as Channels.
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible?
If you want transparency fading the color to white additionally to the Opacity Stops may not be a good idea anyway.
Edit: Meaning that you may just want to have two Color Stops of the same color.
Hi there thanks for the quick response!
I probably am going around it the wrong way, and appreciate your guidance.
As a novice - I'm afraid I don't know which panels you wish to see, as I have already included the 'result' along with the gradient choices I have made.
The white Color Stops do not seem to make sense, please remove them.
But be aware you are not working with Spot Colors if you work with Layers.
I'm afraid I don't know which panels you wish to see
In this case Channels and Layers seem relevant.
Look in the Option Bar for the Gradient tool, and make sure the Transparency box is checked.
Please make a Gradient Layer and post a screenshot with the Layers Panel visible.
Check the gradient tool options and make sure "transparency" is enabled.
Hmm, great minds think alike.
