Acrobat attachment unremovable till Acrobat restart

I have got a more general question: once I open the attachment (in my case a PDF form generated in Livecycle) using both .openDataObject and .openDoc (to have it visible), Acrobat Javascript Reference says we should use closeDoc to close it. However, I am not doing so as the end-user will be closing the attachment manually and I suppose that is enough. Actutally, it seems it is not enough because if I try to delete the attachement manually by selection-Canc, I receive a message: "This file is busy and can't be deleted".

Why Acrobat remains busy with the attachment after it has been regularly closed by the user?

      Thanks
