    Kochichack

Here we go again, as soon as Premiere pro CC loads the speakers start crackling and the audio for the whole system becomes unmanageble, have to restart computer.

So basicaly I can't use PPr CC. Just to let you know, I'm not gonna waist any time on this right now, PPr cs6 is working fine with the Intensity pro.

I output my audio through the intensity pro for everything

updated Blackmagic drivers, repaired persmision, etc...

      OS Mounatin Lion 10.8.1

      Blackmagic destop 9.7.5

          Hi,

          A few questions.

          - What media type are you using?

          - What is your setup?

OS sound Preferences set to Built-in/Line out?

Premiere Preferences> Playback  set to Blackmagic audio?

          Thanks,

            Hi Peter,

            Thanks for writing,

Yes, at the OS level I have in the Sound output tab Blackmagic Audio. I see two new audio devices, Prelude 2.0 and Premiere Pro 7.0

In Premiere I have BlackMagic Audio Selected.

When I open Premiere CC the audio goes crazy as soon as the welcome screen kicks in, so I don't think is a media issue, the audio output are just clicks and pops and basically I have to restart  the computer.

The weird things is that I think I just discovered some bug. It was also happening with Prelude CC (audio clicks and pops, have to restart). Now, if I open PPro CC the audio still goes crazy, but, if I also open Prelude CC and open a clip, the clicks and pops stop and I'm able to hear the audio playback.

I've had this set up for many years now, and have been able to use it fine since moving to Premiere like 2 years ago.

I hope this helps, please let me know how to help correct this.

            Thanks a lot,

            Francisco

              Hi Francisco,

I would giving these suggestions a try.

              1. Update your OS if possible.

              2. Set your OS system sound to Built-in or Line out audio

              3. Place your Blackmagic card in slot 2

              4. Set your buffer size to 1024 (although, it sounds like your getting audio issues without even playing back but with a shot).

Let us know how it goes.

                Hey Peter,

As of now, Updated OS, set buffer to 1024.

Can't move the card because I don't have another empty slot. Can't change the Audio to system built in or line out, just yet, I have a Hackingtosh and have to install the driver.

Please keep in mind that everything works fine in CS6.

There seems to be an issue with prelude, Ppro CC and the intensity, When I open Prelude or PPro the audio goes crazy, now, if I have both open and If I play a clip in prelude the audio goes back to normal and I can play in both prelude and PPro and hear the audio fine. If I go to the internet for example, and the back to PPro the audio pops and clicks, can't hear anything, I have to go back to prelude, play a clip then back to PPro.

Its a weird thing I know, and hard to explain.

Thanks for your help. I really want to resolve this, still is cs6 because of the issue.

                  Hey Peter,

I has to be the Blackmagic drivers, even cs6 was messed up, I had to revert to desktop video 9.7.1. Unfortunatly I unisntalled PPro CC, I'll try to re-download and test.

                  Thanks

I am experiencing the same exact issue.

                    mac pro

                    10.8.4

                    intensity pro

If I change my system audio to "built-in" it seems to solve the problem.  It appears to be a conflict between the system audio and premiere cc.

This is kinda lame because it would be nice to run the system audio through the intensity, but it does seem to fix things if I don't.

Thanks for your input m.notaro. I run a hackingtosh and I never install the audio drivers since I run everything through the Blackmagic. What I recently discovered is that creating a backmagic sequence has solve the issue with premiere and prelude. If I close premiere first the audio goes crazy.

As of now, the blackmagic sequence is doing it for me.

It seems that instead of becoming more native, its going in the opposite direction.

I apologize for all my spelling errors in my writings before.
