MediaMind MXP, Converted to ZXP, breaks and corrupts Extention Manager

    jacoubbondre

I user the CS6 extension manager to convert the Media Mind Workshop MXP to ZXP.

Then I used the CC Extension manager to install it. As per the instructions in Adobe's FAQ.

It freezes the Extension manager, and it never can be opened again. Unless you uninstall and re-install. (Restarting does nothing).
It half way installs the Workshop, but you cannot do anything with it, it just throws a JS error in the output

I have a delivery, how do I fix this. (Yes I msged MM, they said it is Adobe's Problem). I hope you guys can provide better customer support then them.

Which OS are you using? Windows or Mac? This extension seems not available for free downloading so I can't verify your problem. It's better that Media Mind provides a ZXP version of this extension. Could you generate log file and send to us? You can create a file named ExManCoreLibLog.YES in "/Users/<YourUserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log" folder (Mac) or "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log" folder (Windows), then launch Extension Manager CC to install the extension. After the problem occurs, send the ExManCoreLibrary.log in this folder to exman.beijing@gmail.com. Note that "/Users/<YourUserName>/Library/" is a hidden folder, you can go into it via "Go to folder" menuitem in Finder.

This extension used the "ui-access" element improperly in the mxi file within the extension. Long text content was specified in this element which only expects short text. This text content should be put to "description" element instead. We will make code change to avoid crash but Media Mind also have to modify the mxi file. Before we release a patch, please contact Media Mind for the mxi change, or you can help yourself: unzip the zxp file (it is actually a zip file), open "MediaMind Workshop.mxi" with a text editor, move the text between "<ui-access>" and "</ui-access>" to between "
" and "
" or simply delete it, save this file, zip all unzipped files/folders again and rename the zip file to "MediaMind Workshop_5.0.5.3.zxp". Then you can install it.
