Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, that's not really what I was looking for. I already have a file setup that is interactive ..clicking button plays and then stops at a label on the timeline. What I was looking to do is that after clicking and animating to a stop point that I could then apply another click action to the same element to take it back to the start of the timeline. I hope that's clear enough of a description.
What about using something like this:
var toggle = true;
toggle=false; // resets the variable for next click
sym.stop(0); // goes back to the beginnig of the timeline
sym.play('label'); // goes to the timeline and plays animation
toggle=true; // resets the variable for next click
// action on the button
So you know, I'm really new at this and am so far have just used the timeline with applying actions using the buttons on the right. I'm not ready for any hand coding yet as I'm not even sure if the code would do what I want it to do. Sorry for my ignorance, and limitations at this point.
This is what I have right now (see link below). I'd like the user to be able to click again on the invisible hotspot but instead of just playing over I would like it to return to the default position at "0.00" on timeline.
Can you post a sample or if you cannot make it public, pm me a link. I will look at it. If you cannot I could also try to make a sample that does something like what I understand you want.
The code above can be put in the stage composition ready.
Let me know.
Let me know if your unable to use the example link provided in my previous post. I should have PMed you that link. Wish the forum enabled editing of posts after posting. Oh well.
