I have an existing complied .chm help file (done with Robohelp Office 2000) and have lost the source files. Can I recreate the source files so I can maittain updates to the existing help file from the compliled chm help file? I believe this can be done with compiled .hlp files but not .chm files with the version I am using.

Hi TracNet and welcome to our community

You should take a look at the following link:
Clck here

Also, you should be able to crack open Windows Explorer, locate the .CHM in question and right-click it. You should see an option labeled "Convert to source". This should open HTML Help Studio and allow you to decompile.

Cheers... Rick
