InDesign CS6 is doing something weird. I'm laying out a novel and one sentence has an ellipsis between each word, so 13 ellipses in one sentence, When I placed the Word file the text just ended right before that sentence. The rest of the pages in the document were blank with an overset mark in the outport of the last page. So the rest of the text, including that sentence is overset. If I remove the ellipses, the text flows where it's supposed to. I suppose I can come up with an alternative to the 13 ellipses, by why is InDesign doing this?
Have you checked to see if "No Break" is applied to that sentence (maybe left over from Word)? Normally InDesign will break after an ellipsis, or in the middle of a word if hyphenation is allowed.
