I'm a huge supporter of Animate, but I'm curious- why use Edge Animate for AIR export, when the Flash Pro -> AIR workflow is already so well established, and the Flash Pro animation tools are more advanced than Animate's?
I am aware of Flash's ability for Exportig to Air. As a matter of fact I have used Flash intensively for building CD-based training materials using the Projectopr export functions as well. I am very comfortable with Flash (le me stres that well: very very comfortable with Flash). I am no supporter of Adobe's decision for Flash. I would have liked to see Flash stay on mobile (aside from the packaging options). Relegating Flash to gaming is a waste of a tool when it has provided so much value to my customers in other arenas.
I am slowly migrating to Animate but am wondering on its capabilities on delivering compiled projects.Curiosity killed the cat...they say.
I see. You can compile html to AIR, so theoretically you should be able to compile Edge to AIR:
Note that with the new Creative Cloud distribution, which allows faster new feature rollouts, I'm sure we will be seeing many new things coming from Flash, relating to html5. Don't give up on it yet!
Thank Tim.Very helpful information.
