    table alternate rows exclude row

    040767 Level 1

when applying an alternating row format to a table is it somehow possible to exclude specific rows from the alternating pattern?

(let's presume i have 20 rows which follow the alternating row pattern, then one which should be excluded, then another 40 with alternating, then one to be excluded, then another XX alternating and so on.)

      thanks.

      regards

@Achim – automatically, you cannot enforce a repeating pattern like that.

          However, you could apply overrides.

I think out of my experience with tables it would be best for you forgetting Table Styles altogether and totally rely on Cell Styles…

Another option is to make each section a separate table with a header. If you set space before and after the table to zero, and remove the top row stroke from all but the first table's header (or don't use any row strokes), it will look like all one table.

Like this: it's four tables in one text block, with no space between.
