Working in Premiere Pro CC. Just received Sony F5 footage shot in Xavc & 4k - camera can shoot both formats simultaneously. Earlier this month I downloaded Sony's 4k plugin PPro 6. I re-installed it in PPro CC. In PPro CC I can see a folder of Sony Raw sequence settings, along with all the other Sony "legacy" codecs. When I pull in my 4k footage and use the raw sequence setting, all is as it should be. However, I'm not seeing a sequence setting for Xavc footage. Am I missing something?
Just right click on the footage and select new sequence from clip. There is nothing special about predefined sequence presets.
Can we use XAVC-S footage from a Sony a7 II DLSR (at 50 mbps, 24 fps, 1080p) on the Premiere Pro timeline? I've heard different things online and it's difficult to get the correct answer. Some people say it's making the program crash, orthers say it's fine. Also, can I use the older AVCHD (at 24 mbps, 24 fps, 1080 p) on the same timeline? Thanks.
Well, premiere pro do support xavc s now (as they said) butfor the xavc it is another question, still even when they said they can suport , unknown problem will happen. Still looking forward for a stable product for xavc or I have to go for some converter instead.
