It's not surprising you have had no replies, as not many folks here in these Adobe forums are that familiar with IrfanView.
Personally, I have no idea whether this is a problem with the way IrfanView displays images or with the way you converted the raw files to DNGs.
You may want to clarify, or to post a sample file we can check.
I'm guessing IrfanView is displaying embedded previews.
So, RW2 file is probably camera rendering (unless you've post-edited it in camera-mfr software), whereas DNG is Adobe default rendering, unless you've refreshed the DNG preview recently (e.g. explicitly, in Lightroom).
Dear Station_two, unfortunatelly I cannot attach the original raw files as they exceed allowed limit 2Mb. Anyway DNG was made by converting original RW2 by Adobe DNG converter v. 184.108.40.206. I am attaching only printscreens so you have at least some basic idea. You will probably see that rw2 looks sharper than dng
DNG & RW2:
Dear Station_two, unfortunatelly I cannot attach the original raw files as they exceed allowed limit 2Mb…
Well, that is not a particularly intelligent remark, unfortunately.
Anyone with an IQ above room temperature knows that a raw file is bound to be over 2 MB in size. It's insulting to point that out.
What you do in order to share a full raw file here is to upload it to the FTP site of your choice or through a free servive such as Dropbox or yousendit.com and post the link to it here.
Your screen shots are not helpful here.
This is not an IrfanView forum, but one of the many Adobe forums.
I—and most other users here—have no clue as to how IrfanView displays any image or why. Nor are we particularly concerned abou it.
I'll be happy to compare renderings of any raw file you're having issues with, but in Photoshop.
Answer: Camera processed rendering (RW2) versus unprocessed (ACR default) rendering (DNG).
You need to edit the DNG (using ACR) then update the preview in the DNG for it to look nice in viewers/editors which are displaying embedded previews.
Thank you Rob Cole!
Well, I didn't mean to insult you. thank you for your remark.
The forum is about DNG files so I belive my topic fits in the acceptable range of subjects. If not it would probably be removed.
Irfan View was used only to view the files (I use it as a simple viewer). You can forget about Irfan View if you like because the same result (appearance) I get in Ps.

Hehehe… You have an amusing misconception regarding the monitoring and/or moderation of these user to user forums, especially the DNG forum with its minimal traffic.
Posts can go unanswered here for months or forever. Adobe does not monitor the forums.
You had not mentioned you saw the issue in Ps as well, you only referenced IrfanView, and that was what I addressed.
