Trevor.Dennis Jul 1, 2013 4:15 AM (in response to Netcommercial)That's what happenes when Photoshop doesn't have enough information to work out a valid photomerge. Looking at the image set, I'd say you were experimenting, rather than making a serious attempt at a panorama. Check out tutorials like this one, to see how best to overlap the images.
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter-archive/video_workshop/html/vid0013.html
But you did ask about doing it manually. If photomerge doesn't work at all, rather than just fail due to insuficient image overlap, try this:
Load all the images into layers in a single image file. You can do this from Bridge > Photoshop > Load into Photoshop layers.
Select all the images, and go Edit > Auto align layers
Followed by Edit > Auto blend layers (with seamless tones & colors checked)
To literally do it manually with Free transform, is almost impossible because of the spherical distortion at the frame edges and corners. But if you give Photoshop a decent image set, it will do an amazing merge for you, including multi row merges.

Semaphoric Jul 1, 2013 5:30 AM (in response to Netcommercial)You could increase the size of the canvas, and then use the Move tool to drag that layer to the desired location. Since the layer mask is linked to the image, they will move together. You might find you need to re-work the masks afterwards.

Netcommercial Jul 1, 2013 11:38 AM (in response to Semaphoric)Thank you Trevor,
Obvious test, wanted to know for future ref about manual adjust. I did read a tutorial. Hence me knowing to use Bridge steps. I will watch the video and keep your post for future reference. Thank you for sharing the steps and link. Appreciated.

Thank you for the work around idea. I will delve into the "Move" tool. Not sure If I understand the "rework-the-masks" afterwards. However it may become apparent after playing with it a bit.
