It appears from the error that Client machines are unable to connect to the server when using firefox and chrome.
As per http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/10.0/supported_platforms.html, Firefox 9 or later and Internet Explorer 7.0 or later are supported clients. Chrome is not a supported client.
Can you please suggest if endusers use browsers those are mentioned in supported platform list.
Are you going through an autheticating proxy? What version of Reader are you seeing this message in? Are cookies disabled?
Reader must communicate back to the Rights management server to ensure the policy applied to the PDF is still valid for the user.
There is no PROXY in client systems and users are using the recommanded firefox versions
With firefox browser, we happens to see the provided error message in some PDF documents. But in the same browser some documents are opening..
there is no Issue in the document...
I just want to know do we need to make any changes in Live cycle server to make sure documents to open in Firefox versions..??
When trying to open a DRM Proteched document in google chrome from our application, we happens to see the Error "Access to this Document is Restricted. Your Account does not have permission tto open it"..
But if we try opening the same document in IE browser, the document will open as intended..
Any Input / advise guys.???
Expecting some response
Can you connect to the URL defined in the BaseURL from Chrome or get to server:port/edc? If not then the issue is a browser or network error (or how the baseurl is defined).
Sorry Firefox not Chrome
- Check and verify that there are no conflicting add-ons/toolbars installed. If there are, I would ask you to remove them and then try using it.
- Before testing it further, make sure that you clear your cache.
- Can you also please test the same in older version of firefox say 3.6.
There are no specific settings in the Livecycle server to open documents in Firefox versions.
