Match should work fine.
Leave it at None.
Thank you. What is the difference between match and ntsc progressive widescreen high quality?
And I'm not exactly sure what multiplexer is, I thought it was actually something that had to be done (saw it in settings while an Idvd dvd was burning). I will leave it off as you state, but I figure I should know why it exists....
thank you again for your assistance!
For the A1 I would choose mpeg2-dvd NTSC widescreen high quality.
Make sure its set to upper field (leave it interlaced) and multiplexer off.
Multiplexer off makes two files one for video and one for audio which Encore likes best.
If you set it to multiplexer on you get one file.
Unfortunately, I just saw your response and I have already started rendering Match Source Attributes. In your opinion, will this adversely effect the look of the final product?
If the Match Source Attributes will be ok, I will finish this one for my client with that format and try your way on the next pass (I have a second dvd for them). I just want the look to be as good as possible.
Thank you for the further info on Multiplexer. Your info and Jim's link were quite helpful.
can you be more specific? I looked at your link page, however many people tout many things. Based on your experience, why is this better than adobe? I'm more concerned about my client than who is right or wrong here.
Simply put, it makes a better picture.
