1. Re: File sent directly from Illustr CC to a desktop printer comes out with changed (condensed) layout
Mike Gondek2 Jul 2, 2013 9:34 AM (in response to Gosia H.)Czesc,
What happens if you make a pdf? Reason I ask is trying to determine, if illustrator is sending this this way, or if the printer is imaging this way.
Try printing with these settings (sliding over to rasters, so this gets rastereized on the front end)
Your title mentionse layout is condesned, can you elaborate on this.

Gosia H. Jul 2, 2013 10:18 AM (in response to Mike Gondek2)Thanks for your reply.
PDF prints all right, as I see it on my screen but only if I will UN-tick the "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" during Saving As PDF.
I tried to print with the settings you suggested but it doesn't help.
I have a layout of a letter: at the top of an A4 page I have letter head with logo and address and at the bottom of the page I have additional small text with more detailed information about the company (footer).
When I do not have anything else on that page in-between these two elements (header and footer) Illustrator prints the footer just underneath the header as if there is no white space between the elements.
When I am talking about layout being condensed this is what I mean: Illustrator doesn't read the white space as part of design but slides up elements together.

Gosia H. Jul 9, 2013 4:25 AM (in response to Gosia H.)I called the Adobe Support. Apparently this is a bug in Illustrator CC.
