    dot path to attribute data

      HI!!

      I have a question about what the best way is to build a dot path to a data
      attribute.

      I am trying to get the data in this attribute

      dataGrid.dataProvid er[XXXX]. YYYY.@docStatus

      where
      XXXX = dgListData.columnIn dex - 1
      and
      YYYY = dgListData.dataFiel d

      so I concatinated all the pieces I need together

      var docStatusHolder: String =
      "dataGrid.dataProvi der[dgListData. columnIndex - 1]." +
      dgListData.dataFiel d + ".@docStatus" ;

      which gives me the String =
      dataGrid.dataProvid er[dgListData. columnIndex - 1].Test0.@docStatus

      The problem is that
      dataGrid.dataProvid er[dgListData. columnIndex - 1].Test0.@docStatus
      should == 0

      but it doesn't. It only gives me the string.

      Do I need to cast my string to something to turn it back into a data
      path??
