Thanks a lot for help but unfortunately that discussion leads to no solution for the problem of making layers not-selectable in new Photoshop CC.
Its always nice to know that Adobe f***ed up webdesigners life again.

I do it by grouping all my design in one group and then apply a blending mode that allows me to see through and reveal my grids/guides placed in the bottom layer...
I never found a better way to do it but I can "live" with this way of doing things...

I am testing on Win with latest release of Photoshop CC and everything works fine, if you lock position of layer then the Move Tool will ignore that layer and will not select it (with Auto Select: Layer in the options bar). Same thing with Path Selection Tool, it will never select locked or invisible layer.
