I'm using Acrobat XI Pro on Windows7. When I try to use the Read Out Loud feature on a tagged PDF, Acrobat shuts down. I am able to turn on (activate) the Read Out Loud feature, but when I select Read to End of Page or Read This Document, Acrobat crashes. PDFs are version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x) with Fast Web View enabled. They were created in Acrobat Distiller 11 using the default Press job option settings. The documents are 100% accessible; there are no security settings. I have been unable to use Read Out Loud since I upgraded from Acrobat 9 Pro last January. Is there a trick that I'm missing?
ilhanbalamur, I am not sure what you are trying to draw my attention to on this page. As I said in my post, I KNOW how to activate the Read Out Loud feature, and my PDFs are fully accessible. Perhaps there is something in the page you suggested that I am missing, but I see nothing there that will help me troubleshoot Acrobat's crashing when I select Read to End of Page or Read This Document. Please be more specific in your comment.
