What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system is it running on?

What are the properties of the videos/photos on that memory stick pro duo? Brand, model, shooting seconds for camera? What are you setting as the Premiere Elements project preset?

And, are you using a USB 2.0 card reader or a memory card slot built into your computer?

          Let us start here.

          Thanks.

When you put the memory card in the slot, does Windows "see" the card and and make a notification sound?

                Thanks for the additional information.

More questions, hopefully getting at the core of the issue.

Do you set the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 Windows Get Media to "Flip, AVCHD, Cameras and Photos" and see the Video Importer.

If you are getting to the Video Importer, are you going to the Source field at the top of the Video Importer and finding your memory card listed there. If not, have you hit the Refresh button? If you see the memory card and you have selected it, are you getting any thumbnails showing up in the Video Importer display area? If so, is the problem = no selected files being transferred to Premiere Elements workspace when you hit Get Media in the Video Importer dialog?

Please let us know how far you get in that process.

I will check out your camera to see if I can figure out what properties your source media are likely to have.

                Thanks.
