What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution are they?
Which version of the program are you using? On what operating system?
Have you ensured you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements?
Have you manually gone to the ATI or nVidia web sites to ensure you have the latest driver for your graphics card?
Thanks Steve; the problem seems to be that the "non-loading" files are in AVI. I'll try to convert them to something that works. Bigjohn
The AVI format, like many others, can contain all sorts of CODECS. They are, in no way, standard, unless they are DV-AVI, or AVI [Uncompressed], for instance.
See this FAQ Entry for more detail on AVI files: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0
If you can tell us what is inside those AVI files, then Steve, or others, can direct you how best to proceed.
What? No. Wait. Who told you to convert the files?
Converting is a tricky business. And if you don't do it exactly right, it can actually take your farther from rather than closer to a solution.
But, as I said, if you'll answer my questions, we may be able to help you.
