I work for a company, that makes marketing-materials for our offices all over the world inhouse.
at the moment we use indesign cs 5 with scribedoor to get things done for the hebrew and arabic-market, but that's - for several reasons - not really elegant.
what would sound elegant, if indesign cc and incopy cc is now fully RTL capable (as far as I understand, indesign is fully RTL capable, but the tools to configure it are missing in standard-versions):
our graphic department creates with the indesign cc the layouts & declare boxes for text (with write-directions), sends them to our offices abroad, they now uses incopy cc single abo to insert the words and then send it back to us.
is this possible? do indesign cc and incopy cc finally have RTL in a usable way built-in?
is indesign middle-east now part of indesign cc? or is it still a separate product? can I download it as a creative cloud-user? and can I install it on the same mac as my normal german indesign-version?
thx for your suggestions in advance!
You have to install either English-Hebrew or English-Arabic. In the creative cloud preferences you can choose between all available language localizations. As standard you will download in the same language as the operating system works but you can change it to any other language by your preferences. It is valid not only for InDesign but also for any other program from the cloud. (Some are always installed multilingual.)
