    PNG Conversion

    Faffles
Other than export or 'save as', is there a good way to convert a Fireworks png file to a Photo Shop file that is completely usable in PS?

Once you've ruled out export and save as, what is left? ;o)

The new PS opens FW pngs pretty well, with few tweaks if any required in PS.

Actually no it doesn't. PS still flattens FW PNG files to a single
bitmap. This is a workflow that the Photoshop team continues to ignore.
FW PNG files need be saved as Photoshop files from within FW in order to
maintain any editability within Photoshop. And while that integration
has been improved within FW CS4, there are still certain FW-only
features that can't be turned into editable Photoshop features.
