2. Re: Automatically remove metadata?
BeardedGov Jul 10, 2013 8:57 AM (in response to try67)I need to do this automatically. Let me phrase this correctly; I'm dealing with morons who act like adding an extra step in the process is out of the question. So I have to find a way to configure Acrobat itself to either not store the metadata in the first place, remove it when saving/sending files, or an enterprise redaction software package that monitors the file shares and removes the metadata (ie Redax or Redact-It).

try67 Jul 10, 2013 9:00 AM (in response to BeardedGov)I don't think it's possible to do it in this way... You can use an Action
to process all the files later on, though.

Dave Merchant Jul 10, 2013 9:22 AM (in response to try67)Gilad's correct - you cannot change the way Acrobat creates or saves files to prevent writing of XMP/PDFP entries; you would have to sanitize the file in the original authoring program so there's no tags to store, or re-process it afterwards (which cannot be made into an unattended task using Acrobat).
