Multicamming 6 angles on my machine with AVCHD footage brings the playback to a stuttering halt after a few secodns so i have to keep pausing and then letting it play again, rise repeat.
Next time I do a job needing this many angles multicammed I am going to want to transcode to a better codec and was wondering what people recommend on Windows? It's a wedding so some quality loss isnt a huge deal but If you could recommend a good lossless codec vs something more compact so I have a few choices that would be swell.
The problem you may run into is that 6 angles of compressed footage will tax the CPU and cause a stutter, and 6 angles of lossless footage will tax your hard drive and cause a stutter.
You may need to beef up one part of your system or the other. (Personally, I'd go for both, but the CPU first.)
You might try mxf Op1a Xdcam 422, or create your own HD MPEG2 preset at 50Mbps.
